655 million euros! The Hungarian SEMCORP Factory Inked Major Deal with ACC of France

Recently, a contract inked based on mutual intention for partnership between SEMCORP subsidiary Hungary Korl átolt Felel?sség? Társaság(hereinafter simplified as “SEMCORP Hungary Kft”) and Automotive Cells Company SE of France(hereinafter simplified as “ACC”) has stipulated that between 2024 and 2030, SEMCORP Hungary Kft will supply ACC with lithium-ion battery separator products worth around 655 million euros.

The ACC of France, focused on researching and developing EV battery cells and modules of high functionality and safety, has a total investment of about 7 billion euros.Leading car manufacturers of the world Stellantis Group and Mercedes-Benz, and global giant in energy diversification Total Energies respectively have one third of ACC’s shares.
SEMCORP maintains sound and long-term partnerships with over ten well-known enterprises such as Panasonic, SAMSUNG SDI, LG Energy Solution, Ltd, CATL, BYD, GOTION HI-TECH, etc., with products gaining recognition from multiple well-known domestic and foreign clients.
As of present, SEMCORP has established separator production bases in Shanghai, Wuxi, Zhuhai, Jiangxi, Suzhou, Chongqing, Hungary, Yuxi, etc. In 2021, SEMCORP surpassed 3 billion square meters in volume sold, and ranked No.1 in the world in both lithium-ion battery separator production capacity and volume sold.
Benefiting from the boom of EV industry, SEMCORP achieved an operating revenue of 7.982 billion yuan in 2021—ayear-on-year increase of 86.37%,and a net income of 2.718 billion yuan—a year-on-year increase of 143.6%. Still maintaining a high growth momentum in Q1 of this year, SEMCORP has achieved 2.592 billion yuan and 916 million yuan respectively in operating revenue and net income, increasing 79.62% and 111.92% respectively year-on-year.
The signing of this contract marks sound progress made by SEMCORP in the overseas market of energy battery separator, which will further improve the company’s profitability and solidify the company’s competitiveness in the international market.
